According to the annual rankings of the Transparency International Global Anti-Corruption Organization, Somalia and North Korea are the most corrupt countries. 175 states have been evaluated with a scale ranging from 0 (highly corrupted) to 100 (non-corrupt). According to the data published by the Transparency International Global Anti-Corruption Organization:
- Somalia shares the last 174th rank with North Korea with a score of 8.
- USA is ranked the 17th with a score of 74, this score was also registered last year. The USA shares the 17th rank with Ireland and Hong Kong. They have been preceded by Japan and Belgium, sharing the 15th rank (score – 76), Germany and Iceland are on the 12th place (score – 79), Singapore is the 7th (score – 84), Norway and Switzerland share the 5th place with a score of 86.
- Denmark and New Zealand are considered the cleanest (non-corrupt) countries. They lead with respectively 1st and 2nd ranks having respective scores of 92 and 91.
- The Corruption Perception index in Armenia is 37 this year, and Armenia occupies the 94th place. Last year Armenia was again on the 94th place with a score of 36, as a result this year Armenia got 1 score higher in comparison with that of last year.
- Georgia is on the 50th place with a score of 52. Let us also mention that last year Georgia occupied the 55th place with a score of 49.
- Azerbaijan is on the 126th place with a score of 29, and last year it was on the 127th place with a score of 28.
- Russia is on the 136th place this year with a score of 27, and last year it was the 127th with a score of 28.
