The preliminary investigation of the criminal case instituted in accordance with Paragraph 1.1 of Part 3 of Articles 34-177 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia with regard to the attempt of theft committed from the apartment owned by Anush Ghazaryan has ended in the Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Armenia.The preliminary investigation evidenced that the detective of Mashtots department of Yerevan city Administration of the Police of the Republic of Armenia Garegin Muradyan and the former serviceman of the police Garush Gevorgyan early in June, 2014 with an intention of committing a theft by means of the screwdriver attempted to open the window fold next to the entrance door of the house owned by Anush Ghazaryan, but when seeing the neighbour witnessing their criminal act, for the reasons regardless of their will failed to accomplish their crime and escaped from the scene of the crime.
The investigator who has accomplished the preliminary investigation has handed over the criminal case to the prosecutor in charge of exercising the procedural control for the approval and the referral thereof to the court.
Note: The suspect or the accused of the alleged offence is deemed innocent unless his or her innocence is proved by virtue of the effective court verdict in the manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia.
