On July 30, 2014 in Aramus village, Kotayk region a resident of the same village Narek P. argued with the police of State Safeguard Service Platoon of Kotayk department of the Police of the Republic of Armenia Petros K. over monetary matters and intentionally struck over the latter’s abdomen with a sharp-cutting tool by causing him health damage.
On July 30, 2014 a criminal case was instituted with regard to the case in Kotayk Investigation Department of the Police of the Republic of Armenia in accordance with Part 1 of Article 112 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. The next day Narek P. was arrested. The latter was charged in accordance with Part 1 of Article 112 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia and an arrest was determined in his respect as a measure of restraint.
The preliminary investigation revealed that during the argument Petros K. in his turn hit Narek P. by causing slight damage to his health.
A criminal proceeding was instituted in the Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Armenia.
A preliminary investigation is under way.
