On September 3 Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received the delegation headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Argentina Eduardo Antonio Zuain, who arrived in Yerevan to hold consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs.
Welcoming the guests, Minister Nalbandian stressed that the official visit by the President of Armenia to Argentina in July gave a new impetus to the bilateral cooperation in different areas and ensured that the arrangements reached on the high level would be brought to life through the exertion of joint efforts.
Expressing gratitude for the reception, Deputy Foreign Minister Zuain highlighted that Argentina aspires to deepen multidimensional cooperation with Armenia and in this matter attached significance to the high-level mutual visits paid on regular basis.
Minister Nalbandian mentioned that the organized Armenian community of Argentina makes its major contribution to the development of the established friendly relations between Armenia and Argentina.
Both sides commended the visa-free regime, the rich legal framework, the fact that the capitals of the two states are sister-cities which are important factors in deepening of bilateral partnership.
During the meeting, thoughts were exchanged over the ways of the development of the Armenian-Argentinean relations. In this context, importance was attached to the enhancement of cooperation in the frameworks of international organization, expansion of economic and trade collaboration, strengthening of decentralized cooperation, activation of scientific, educational, cultural exchanges.
At the meeting, the sides covered international and regional issues.
After the meeting, the Director at the Diplomatic School of the MFA of Armenia Vahe Gabrielyan and the Director at the National Foreign Service Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Argentina Juan C. Valle Raleigh signed Cooperation Agreement between the two structures.
