Prisoner of “Nubarashen” penitentiary of the RA Ministry of Justice Vrezh M. reported that the officers of Byurghavan Department of the RA Police demanded and received a large bribe from him for releasing from criminal prosecution.
Vrezh M. also informed that in January 2014 a group of officers of Byurghavan Department of the RA Police (including the investigator) had beaten him to make him acknowledge the offense.
A criminal case under the provisions of Part 2 of Article 309 and Point 2 of Part 4 of Article 311 of the RA Criminal Code has been initiated based on the materials prepared in the Special Investigation Service of the RA. Preliminary investigation is in process.
Note. Everyone charged with a criminal offense shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty by the court verdict lawfully entered into force as prescribed by Criminal Procedure Code.
