“I will be strict to all notaries, but will never interfere with their work,” – Justice Minister HrayrTovmasyan said at notary chamber opening event. Talking about his reprimand to Kentron notary AlvardMelkonyan, he said: “This is the strictest responsibility Justice Minister is entitled to, the rest must be done through court.” According to the minister, criminal case was started against AlvardMelkonyan.
The case will last 6 months and in case of new evidence, there will be a court trial.
Tovmasyan says the case will pull the rest of notaries together and mentioned new law was laying 100% responsibility for ratification of agreements by notaries. In Melkonyan’s case the mistakes are obvious.
The minister also said that will not tolerate any such activity in the future.
