On the night from 5 to 6 April, the units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire at the positions of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia with varying intensity from different caliber firearms in a number of directions of the border zone.

Zaven Papyan told us that it is peaceful at the moment, but the day before, at 11:20, the enemy began shooting, and the shooting stopped at 04:30 in the morning. They shot with large-caliber weapons.

“They were shooting just at the village, houses and roofs were damaged. During the shooting, a window was damaged, a child was sleeping under that window, he was saved miraculously,” Papyan said.

According to him, there is no panic or fear among people, it is peaceful now.

At the moment, the situation is also stable in the village of Aravus in Syunik region. The Office of the Community Head reported.

The Ministry informed that fire was opened between 22:25-22:50 in Sotki (Gegharkunik marz), 23:15 in Verin Shorzha (Gegharkunik marz), and 00:15 in Kuti (Gegharkunik marz), in the period between 23:15-23:20 a Aravus (Syunik marz), at 23:05-23:20 – Chinari (Tavush marz), at 00:15-01:20 – Movses (Tavush) in the direction of RA Armed Forces positions located in the marz sectors.
