On 6 March, an awareness seminar on the educational program aimed at developing the budgetary abilities of young professionals implemented within the framework of the “Budgets for Citizens” Project was held at the Yerevan State University.
Students of Economics and Management Faculty of YSU attended the seminar. The Deputy Dean of the faculty, Vardan Aleksanyan, who directly supported the organization of the awareness seminar, made an opening speech, introducing the project, the opportunity to participate in the training, as well as the possibility of obtaining new budgetary knowledge in its framework, and encouraged them to participate in the training course.
Further, the Project Manager Mr. Karen Zadoyan, President of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association, presented to the qttention fo9 the students the objective of the project, the implemented to this point work in the scope of the project, and the newly created budgets.am platform for the exchange of budget knowledge.
Then the Project Manager referred to the educational program aimed at developing the skills of young professionals planned within the framework of the project, emphasizing its advantages, opportunities and results.
Ms Karine Harutyunyan, Executive Director of the “Economic Development and Research Center” (EDRC) NGO, presented the budget component of the training program to the participants. At the end of the workshop, students interested in budget education provided their data to apply for the training program.
