The Burial Ceremony of the Remains of Misak Manushyan is taking place in the Pantheon of France

The burial ceremony of the remains of Misak Manushyan is taking place in the Pantheon of France.

Today Nikol Pashinyan left for France with his wife Anna Hakobyan on a two-day working visit.

The Prime Minister of Armenia and the President of France, along with Anna Hakobyan and Brigitte Macron, attended the ceremony to enshrine the remains of the hero of the Armenian Resistance Movement, Misak Manushyan, in the pantheon of the greatest figures of France.

Misak Manushyan was summed up alongside such French greats as Victor Hugo, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Marie and Pierre Curie, Emile Zola, Alexandre Dumas and others.

“He is the first foreigner whose remains will be buried in the pantheon, because only French people are buried there. It is truly an unprecedented event. As French President Emmanuel Macron said, Misak Manushyan is a part of the greatness of our country, he embodies the French ideology and value system, and we are obliged to honor him,” the Minister of Culture of France said.
