In 2012-2016, H.P., who held the position of the RA Minister of Culture, using her official powers to the detriment of state interests, assisted in separating of the 300-square-meter area from the land plot at 36 Koghbatsi Street in Yerevanm which was provided with the right of free use to “Yerevan Secondary Music School named after P. Tchaikovsky” and abducting by fraud by the criminal group organized and led by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary A.S.
On 27 September, 2023, the Prosecutor initiated a new public criminal prosecution against H.P.
On the basis of the application submitted by H.P., the former Minister of Culture of the Republic of Armenia, the accused in the criminal proceedings under investigation at the Main Directorate of Investigation of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia, the investigator made a decision to conduct proceedings in the absence of the accused.
On 4 October, 2023, the prosecutor confirmed the indictment against H.P. and submitted it to the Anti-Corruption Court with the materials of the proceedings.
Note: A person that is suspected or accused of an alleged crime is considered innocent until his/her guilt is proved by a court judgment that has come into legal effect pursuant to the procedure determined by RA Criminal Procedure Code.
