120,000 people, including 30,000 children, 2,000 pregnant women, 20,000 elderly people, who faced severe hunger, malnutrition and deprivation of all necessities and goods during the 9-month siege, are now under physical threat from the Azerbaijani Armed Forces the large-scale terrorist attack that started on 19 September2023.
Artsakh Human Rights Defender Gegham Stepanyan wrote in his X microblog.
“This is nothing but ethnic cleansing and genocide, which Azerbaijan is carrying out day by day.
The international community SHOULD take immediate and urgent actions to stop another crime against humanity,” he said.
On 19 September, around 1:00 p.m., the Azerbaijani armed forces violated the ceasefire along the contact line of the Artsakh Republic by launching rocket and artillery attacks, using artillery and drones, and attempted positional advancement. There are many victims and wounded, including civilians.
The Defense Army of the Republic of Artsakh undertakes defensive measures.
