On 19 September, the Azerbaijani side spread the third false message that the relevant units of the Defense Army suppressed the GPS Positioning System of a civil aircraft flying on the Baku-Tbilisi route between 8:28 p.m. and 8:34 p.m. on 18 September.
The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Artsakh reported.
The message of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan is an absolute lie. The aircraft carrying out a flight on the mentioned route does not need to cross the air borders of the Artsakh Republic, and there is even no need to approach them.
By periodically spreading such false statements, Azerbaijan aims to divert the attention of the international community from the humanitarian disaster caused by the illegal blockade of the Lachin Corridor and to prepare an information base for another provocation.
Let us remind again that in 2020 during and after the hostilities, it was the Azerbaijani side that consistently targeted the civil infrastructure of the Republic of Artsakh, blocking the Lachin Corridor, disrupting gas and electricity supplies, and suppressing access to the Internet and mobile communications.
