Today the regular elections to the Council of Elders of Yerevan are being held using the proportional electoral system. 475 polling stations have been formed to conduct the elections.
In the morning, at 8:00, all 475 polling stations formed for the elections were opened in the manner prescribed by the RA Electoral Code, and the first voters were accepted. 1,362 technical devices are used for electronic voter registration.
In order to observe the elections, the joint observation missions “Witness”, “Independent Observer” and “Hayakve” were accredited.
40 local mass media were accredited to cover the elections and voting.
2 international observation missions and 3 foreign mass media were also accredited to observe the elections.
The number of voters of Yerevan community is 824,250
The number of voting participants in the elections, according to communities, will be published on the website of the Central Electoral Commission, www.elections.am, in three-hour intervals starting from 12:00 today, and will also be broadcast on both Public Television and CEC social platforms.
