In recent days, some Azerbaijani media are trying to present the transfer of a group of citizens to the Republic of Armenia by the Russian peacekeeping troops as the evacuation of servicemen. We consider it necessary to mention that there are no servicemen who are RA citizens in the Republic of Artsakh, as the official Stepanakert and Yerevan have announced many times.
The persons transferred from Artsakh by the Russian peacekeepers are students of Armenian and foreign higher education institutions, Russian citizens and their family members, as well as specialists and workers who are citizens of Armenia involved in the construction and mining industries in the republic, who lost their jobs as a result of the blockade by Azerbaijan and could not return to place of their permanently residence,” the announcement states.
