On 13 September, at 7:40 p.m., Gegharkunik patrols stopped a “Chrysler” car near the Gavar municipality. It was found that the driver, a 23-year-old woman, a resident of Yerevan, was driving the car in a drunken state and did not have a driver’s license.

The Police reported.

Before all this, vigilant patrols noticed an object resembling a pistol in the car. A 30-year-old passenger from Yerevan voluntarily presented an air pistol, stating that it was his and that it was out of order. Both were arrested and presented to the Gegharkunik Regional Investigation Department. Circumstances are being clarified.

Note: A person that is suspected or accused of an alleged crime is considered innocent until his/her guilt is proved by a court judgment that has come into legal effect pursuant to the procedure determined by RA Criminal Procedure Code.
