At the regular session of 24 August, the Central Electoral Commission approved the protocol of granting a mandate to the member of the National Assembly. Thus, the mandate of Andranik Tevanyan, a deputy of the “Hayastan” Alliance, who submitted an application for resignation and prematurely terminated his powers, was given to Mher Albert Melikyan, the next candidate on the electoral list of the same Alliance.
Three candidates for the member of the Council of Elders included in the electoral lists of the “Strength of the Homeland” and “National Progress” parties registered in the elections of the Yerevan Council of Elders submitted an application for self-revocation to the CEC.
The applications for self-revocation of Sona Kharbertyan and Yekaterina Valeanu, who are included in the electoral list of the “Strength of the Homeland” Party, were notarized according to the established procedure, therefore their presence at the session was not mandatory.
Elina Avetisyan, the candidate for the member of the Council of Elders, who submitted the other application for self-revocation, personally submitted it to the Committee, presenting the identity document, because the application was not notarized.
