The bronze statue of Karen Demirchyan, the National Hero of Armenia, is placed in front of the sports concert complex.

Deputy Mayor Tigran Avinyan wrote on his Facebook page.

“The installation of the sculpture is only one important step in the reinterpretation and restoration project of the area. It will become complete with the creation of an adjacent green park and landscaped area.

The author of the influential statue is the sculptor Sargis Babayan, who sculpted Demirchyan in the gait and movement that characterized him, descending from the pedestal to the people.”
