During the past week, the Azerbaijani side grossly violated the ceasefire regime 4 times, targeting and firing at the civilians harvesting in the grain fields of Askeran and Martuni regions. The Police of Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Artsakh Republic issued a message, summarizing the past week.

“30 reports on crimes and offenses were registered in the duty units of the central and regional police units in the period between 14 and 21 August, 2023, 16 of which were about crimes. As a result of the operational measures taken, all of them have been identified and are under investigation.

In the course of the week, 6 cases of personal injury and 2 cases of theft of personal property were revealed. People who grossly violated the public order were taken to the police.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs is taking measures to reveal other unsolved crimes.

As a result of the joint investigative activities of the Criminal Investigation Department and the officers of the territorial divisions, 5 cases of illegal drug trafficking, cultivation and sale were revealed during the week.

Police officers are looking for N.M., a 35-year-old resident of Martakert, who has been missing since 19 August. The latter was engaged in animal husbandry. On the same day, in order to look for the cattle, he went to the surrounding areas of Martakert city and it is still not possible to establish contact with him.

During the specified period, 2 traffic accidents with bodily harm were registered at the operational control center of the traffic police. 3 people from the accidents went to the medical facility. 1 driver operated a vehicle without a driver’s license.
