More than ever, steps are needed on the ground to quickly ease the tension around Nagorno-Karabakh. Specifically, stop blocking the Lachine Corridor and use other humanitarian ways. Russia, with the support of both sides, is making every effort to resolve this crisis quickly and to support our friendly countries, Azerbaijan and Armenia. We are doing everything in our power through political and diplomatic ways, at all levels, to prevent humanitarian disaster in Nagorno-Karabakh.

We are in active contact with all parties involved to quickly resume the supply of food, medicine and other essential supplies.

Reconciliation of Armenia and Azerbaijan is not possible if there are no clear security guarantees and guarantees of rights for the people of Nagorno Karabakh, based on internationally recognized principles, in the context of Azerbaijani laws, this logic derives from the recent agreements that were reaffirmed between the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan, each side recognizes the other’s territorial completeness. We hope that political will shall be shown in this process and the Baku-Stepanakert dialogue will take place.”
