Students of the 9th Stream of the Anti-Corruption School for Young Leaders completed the Stage of Research Work

The students of 9th stream of the Anti-Corruption School for Young Leaders, the 1st anti-corruption professional educational initiative operating in the Republic of Armenia, successfully completed the online learning stage within the framework of the master classes and practical skills development phase, and as a summary of the acquired knowledge, they performed individual research works.

The young leaders were given 3 topics on which they carried out their written research work.

Those topics were:

  • Anti-Corruption Education: Challenges and Solutions,
  • Institute for Confiscation of Property of Illicit Origin: Challenges and Solutions,
  • Whistle-Blowing System: Challenges and Solutions.

Each participant chose a topic and performed own research.

As a result, students of the School presented their research works.

Students Gayane Tadevosyan, Alla Zadoyan, Anna Grigoryan, Mariam Hakobyan, Angelina Mirzoeva and Mary Hayrapetyan conducted research on Anti-Corruption Education. In their research works, the students raised the issue of the importance of anti-corruption education; studying international best practices, and came up with suggestions.

Astghik Babayan, Yevgenya Hambardzumyan, Kima Davoyan, Lira Harutyunyan and Marat Davtyan conducted research on the Institute for Confiscation of Property of Illicit Origin, talking about the gaps in the law and presented proposals for improvement.

The authors of the works on the Whistle-Blowing System were Artur Zakaryan, Heghine Asulyan, Aghek Stepanyan, Aram Khachatryan, Tsovinar Sahakyan and Lusine Kevnakszyan. Reviewing the international experience, the students raised a number of proposals for improving the Whistle-Blowing System in Armenia.

The Anti-Corruption School for Young Leaders was founded by Karen Zadoyan, the President of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association, a member of the Anti-Corruption Policy Council. “The Armenian Lawyers’ Association” NGO is organizing the Anti-Corruption School for Young Leaders in cooperation with the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia.
