As a result of the complete blocking of the Lachin Corridor by Azerbaijan, the Humanitarian situation in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) is deteriorating hour by hour. The Office of the Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Artsakh published a video from the biggest supermarket in Stepanakert, in which it can be seen that the supermarket is completely empty.

Artsakh Human Rights Defender Gegham Stepanyan wrote on his Facebook page that Complete absence of food and basic necessities inflict sufferings on 120,000 people, including 30,000 children. “The Ombudsman’s Office reports from the ground, documenting the disastrous humanitarian consequences and asking for immediate international intervention,” Stepanyan has written.

Since December 2022, Azerbaijan keeps closed the only road connecting Artsakh with Armenia, the Lachin Corridor: First it was done with the action of fake environmentalists, and then Azerbaijan installed a checkpoint in the corridor, which has been completely closed since 15 June of this year.
