The Supreme Judicial Council published the decisions on the petitions for disciplinary action against the judges.

Notably, journalists and cameramen were not allowed to be present in the session hall during the publication of the decisions of the SJC.

It was possible to see the announcement of the decisions through the screen placed in the lobby and live broadcast.

Karen Andreasyan, the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, announced the decisions.

“The Supreme Judicial Council, after examining the petition of Armenuhi Harutyunyan, who is performing the duties of the Minister of Justice, decided to satisfy the decision regard subjecting him to disciplinary responsibility Ruben Buniatyan, Judge of the Civil Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan City.

To announce a reprimand to Ruben Buniatyan, Judge of the Civil Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan City,” Karen Andreasyan said.

The decision comes into force from the moment of publication and is final. At the same time, the SJC informed that judge Arshak Vardanyan has a special opinion.

“The Supreme Judicial Council, after examining the petition of Levon Balyan, who is performing the duties of the Minister of Justice, decided to subject the Judge of the Bankruptcy Court Samvel Tadevosyan, the Judge of the Civil Court of Appeal Astghik Kharatyan, the judges of the Civil Chamber of the Court of Cassation Artak Barseghyan, and Tigran Petrosyan to disciplinary responsibility.

To terminate the proceedings regarding the disciplinary action against Samvel Tadevosyan, the Judge of the Bankruptcy Court, taking into account that the latter’s powers have already ceased,” Karen Andreasyan said.

He announced to satisfy the petition regarding bringing disciplinary responsibility the Judge of the Civil Court of Appeal Astghik Kharatyan, the Judges of the Civil Chamber of the Court of Cassation Artak Barseghyan, and Tigran Petrosyan. 

“To terminate their powers on the basis of a significant disciplinary violation.

The decision comes into force from the moment of publication and is final. At the same time, the SJC informs that judge Arshak Vardanyan has a special opinion,” the President of SJC said.
