On 8 June, 2023, the Anti-Corruption Court accepted another lawsuit regarding confiscation of property of illegal origin.
The Department for Confiscation of Property of Illicit Origin of the RA Prosecutor General’s Office submitted a request to the court to confiscate the following in favor of the Republic of Armenia from the former Head of Staff of the RA Bankruptcy Court A.K. and related to him person:
- 5 immovable properties in the city of Yerevan, Kotayk and Gegharkunik marzes, 1 movable property, 1 real estate and in case of impossibility, their average market value – more than 118 million 805 thousand AMD.
- The illicit part of the right to demand the provided loans: 11 million 887 thousand 263 AMD.
- 5 million 805 thousand 905 AMD as the balance of illicit income and funds.
- An amount of 133 million 91 thousand 788 thousand AMD, which is not justified by the legal income of the person, has an illicit origin, was transferred to a bona fide acquirer during the years 1996-2022 or cannot be identified and confiscated based on the legal regulation of Article 20, part 4 of the RA Law “On Confiscation of Property of Illegal Origin”.
