In connection with the case of the injury of a resident of Goris and seeking medical help, criminal proceedings were initiated against Tigran Khachatryan, the son of the former Governor of Syunik, Surik Khachatryan,  in the Syunik Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee under Part 1 of Article 335 of the Criminal Code (circulation of firearms, their main components, ammunition and illegal other materials, devices, objects) and part 3 of Article 297 (hooliganism committed by using or threatening to use a weapon or an object or means prepared in advance or adapted to cause physical injury).

Gor Abrahamyan, the Press Secretary of the Investigative Committee confirmed the information in a conversation with Iravaban.net.

“There is evidence regarding Tigran Khachatryan’s relation to the incident, which are currently being checked within the proceedings,” the Press Secretary of the Investigative Committee said, adding that a preliminary investigation is being conducted in relation to the incident, appropriate investigative and operative-intelligence measures are being carried out in order to find out the circumstances of the incident.

Notably, according to publications on press, several incidents took place the day before with the participation of Surik Khachatryan’s son, Tigran Khachatryan. According to one of them, Tigran Khachatryan cursed the wife of one of the policemen. Later fight with the vegetable seller. And in the evening, he argued and shot at a 46-year-old vulcanization worker, the bullet hit his right hand. The victim was taken to the hospital. It is informed that he shot at the man for calling him “Tiko”.
