9 Patients in Serious Condition were transported from Artsakh to Armenia by an Ambulance and accompanied by Russian Peacekeepers

Today, 9 patients in a critical condition were transferred from Artsakh to RA specialized medical centers by an ambulance accompanied by Russian peacekeepers, and 21 others are still waiting for their transfer.

The Ministry of Health of the Artsakh Republic reported.

Taking into account that since 29 April, due to the obstacles caused by the Azerbaijani side, the International Committee of the Red Cross has stopped the transportation of Artsakh medical patients to Armenia, as a result of which 30 medical patients were deprived of the opportunity to be transported, the Artsakh side had to turn to the support of Russian peacekeepers to transport patients in urgent need to Armenian medical facilities to save their lives. And the remaining 21 patients are under the supervision of Artsakh doctors, who are taking all possible measures to prevent further deterioration of their health condition.

It is very important that the humanitarian transportation of patients and medicines carried out by the Red Cross be restored as soon as possible, without any obstacles and supervisory intervention by the Azerbaijanis. It is a necessary condition for the effective functioning of Artsakh’s healthcare system.
