Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction, presided over by Judge Tatevik Grigoryan, today, on 10 May, made a decision to acquit Igor Khachaturov.
The Judge’s office confirmed the information to Iravaban.net.
Let’s remind that Igor Khachaturov was charged under Article 316, Part 1of the RA Criminal Code. It is noted that on 17 May, 2022, around 08:30, a group of citizens carrying out an action of disobedience blocking the traffic section in front of 15 Kievyan Street in Yerevan city, thereby obstructing the free movement of other citizens.
The RA Police officers conducting the service at the mentioned place, while maintaining public order, urged them to leave the busy part of the street, but the participants of the disobedience action did not comply with the legal demands of the police officers to open the street and restore traffic, in connection with which some of the action participants were detained. During that time, Igor Khachaturov, together with another participant of the action, obstructed the actions of the RA Police Inspector to open the street and bring people into custody which were related to the performance of the officer’s official duties, committed non-health-threatening violence against him by hitting the mentioned employee’s chest and abdomen several times with his fist.
