From 5 May, the Existing Exits for Light Passenger Cars will be closed at the “Kazbeg” Customs Checkpoint for One Month.

The State Revenue Committee informs that according to the information of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, due to the ongoing construction and rehabilitation works in order to add new lanes for light passenger cars at the “Kazbeg” customs checkpoint, the existing exits for light passenger cars crossing the state border will be closed for one month from 5 May.

In addition, it is reported that the movement of light passenger cars will be temporarily carried out through the side exits for trucks. The border crossing for passengers will be carried out around the clock, in an unchanged and smooth mode. As soon as the rehabilitation works are completed, the “Kazbeg” Customs Checkpoint will work as usual at full capacity. Queues and congestion are likely to occur on the Georgian side as a result of the temporary closure of the lane.
