On 2 May, the Wizz Air airline held a press conference in connection with the expansion of new destinations to Armenia,.

Valeria Bragarenko, the representative of the airline, spoke about the business model of the budget airline, the upcoming activities of the airline in the Armenian market, as well as the impact of the launch of new Wizz Air routes on the Armenian tourism sector.

Sisian Boghosyan, Chair of the Tourism Committee of the RA Ministry of Economy, attended the press conference as well. In her speech she welcomed the continued cooperation with the airline, which will give more tourists the opportunity to discover Armenia.

Notably, on 30 April, the airline launched 2 new routes to Sofia (every Wednesday and Sunday) and Dortmund (every Wednesday and Sunday).

And from 26 June, 2023, flights on the Prague-Yerevan-Prague route will be launched, which will be operated with two weekly flights, every Monday and Friday.
