According to the criminal proceedings examined in the Main Directorate of Investigation of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia, it was established that the Party Chairman G.T. and the General Director of the Company S.A., as part of the criminal group, participated in the elections of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on 2 April, 2017, and have bribed the voters to vote for the alliance of participating parties and the candidate nominated by it.

The Press Service of the Prosecutor General’s Office reported.

On 18 April, 2023, the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Armenia received the criminal proceedings according to the chargeto G.T under Article 154.2, Part 2 of the Criminal Code adopted on 18 April, 2003 (bribing voters) and S.A., under Article 154.2, Part 2 of the Criminal Code adopted on 18.04.2003 (bribing voters).

On 21 April, 2023, the indictment approved by the supervising prosecutor was handed over to the Anti-Corruption Court along with the materials of the proceedings.

Note: A person that is suspected or accused of an alleged crime is considered innocent until his/her guilt is proved by a court judgment that has come into legal effect pursuant to the procedure determined by RA Criminal Procedure Code.
