Criminal prosecution will be initiated against Armen Charchyan, Deputy of the “Armenia” Faction of the National Assembly. The National Assembly gave its consent.
Thus, Armen Charchyan was deprived of parliamentary immunity.
68 out of 107 deputies participated in the voting. 1 ballot was declared invalid, 67 MPs voted in favor.
To remind, General Prosecutor Anna Vardapetyan filed a motion to agree to initiate criminal prosecution against Armen Charchyan.
Yesterday, the National Assembly also agreed to initiate criminal prosecution against the former Minister of Defense, Deputy Seyran Ohanyan. The Prosecutor had submitted three petitions regarding Seyran Ohanyan.
