An administrative fine will be applied for the operation of completed buildings or structures without an operation permit. The draft envisages the imposition of a fine in the amount of 500 to 700 times the minimum wage. RA Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Vache Terteryan informed during the session of the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs of the National Assembly convened on 1 February, presenting the Draft Law “On Amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Armenia”.
According to the Deputy Minister, in case of continuing the act, the fine will be 1000 to 1500 times the minimum wage.
Vache Terteryan noted that the relevance of the law is due to the fact that especially residential multi-apartment buildings are operated without an operation permit in many cases, which causes serious problems, particularly in terms of infrastructure (gas, electricity, which are connected without passing appropriate expertise).
Babken Tunyan, Deputy Chairman of the Committee, inquired whether the drafy also applies to individual houses. According to Vache Terteryan, the raised issue is regulated by the decisions of the Government, and the above-mentioned draft mainly regulates the issue of multi-apartment buildings and constructions. According to him, operating permits are differentiated; in the case of individual houses they are different.
The draft law received a positive conclusion.
