Judge Anna Pilosyan, referring to the decision of the Supreme Judicial Council to terminate her powers, writes:
“Just not long ago, my authority as a judge was terminated by the decision of the Supreme Judicial Council.
Leaving the judiciary, I would like to thank the Third President of the RA for appointing me as a judge by his decree, the members of the RA Council of Justice in 2013, for providing me with a unique opportunity to serve my country and justice.
I thank the judge Artur Smbatyan, who accepted me in the judiciary in 2008 as an assistant, for teaching and conveying purity of conscience and fairness.
I thank the Legal Community for the long and effective cooperation.
I thank my staff for their unstinting dedication to lighten my heavy burden.
I wish the incumbent judges and those replacing me to remain strong, dignified and loyal to their high rank.
I thank the President of the Supreme Judicial Council Karen Andreasyan, members Hayk Grigoryan, Vigen Kocharyan, Yeranuhi Tumanyants, Naira Hovsepyan, Mesrop Makyan for returning me to my family and children, albeit in an extremely unfair way.
I thank Ani Mkhitaryan and Davit Khachaturyan, members of the Supreme Judicial Council, for their vote.
I think I have earned the right to announce that I am leaving as I came, with a clean conscience and a clear face.”
It should be noted that Pilosyan is human rights activists Ruben Melikyan’s wife.
