Ruben Vardanyan, Minister of State of the Republic of Artsakh, had a meeting today with the parents of Artsakh whose children are forced to stay in Armenia as a result of Azerbaijan’s blockade of Artsakh.
The Minister of State noted that the issue was discussed both at the Security Council session and with various political forces. “As a father, I understand your feelings, your concerns and anxieties. On the other hand, I want to assure you that we will do everything so that the children there are safe and have normal living conditions,” Ruben Vardanyan said.
Children traveling to participate in cultural and sports events are mostly in Armenia. But there are also various cases when the parents stayed in Armenia and the young children in Artsakh.
The Minister of State noted that one should be prepared for the fact that this situation may last long. He listened to parents, their suggestions, and concerns. Parents mainly raised issues related to the organization of children’s education and living. At the same time, they noticed that although the separation is very difficult, at least they are calm to the extent that the children are in a safe place. They also thanked all the organizations and individuals who support the children left in Armenia.
The Minister of State offered parents to submit all the requirements related to children’s needs in order to organize their provision in Armenia.
