Preliminary investigation of the criminal proceedings initiated in connection with the murder of a 31-year-old resident of Pemzashen village and her two children continues in the investigative Department of Artik and Ani of the Shirak Marz Investigation Department of the RA Investigative Committee,.
As a result of the measures undertaken jointly with the employees of the RA Police, the RA Prosecutor’s Office, the RA NSS, as well as the studies carried out by the employees of the Forensic Genetics, Forensic Medicine and Forensic Biology Departments of the Forensic Medical Research Center of the RA Ministry of Justice, a number of significant circumstances of the case, including the motive, have been revealed. The identity of another person who committed the alleged crime, a 41-year-old relative of the 32-year-old man was arrested a few days ago.
In particular, during the investigation, factual data was obtained that the 32-year-old resident of Shirak region, who suffers from “emotional personality disorder with suicidal thoughts” mental illness, on 8 November, 2022, around 21:00, during a meeting with his relative, a 41-year-old resident of the same settlement, having learned about the alleged presence of money in the house of a 31-year-old resident of Pemzashen settlement, reached an agreement to illegally enter the latter’s house and steal money, after which, in order to realize their intention, they entered illegally the house on the same day, taking advantage of the fact that the front door was open.
Having learned from the woman that there is no money in the house, in order to hide the crimes committed by them, first they tied up and complementing each other’s actions, killed the woman with particular brutality, then the 32-year-old man, in order to hide the committed crimes, with the intention of illegally depriving them of lives, tied the children’s hands and feet and stabbed them with a kitchen knife on different parts of their bodies, causing bodily injuries incompatible with life.
With the combination of sufficient evidence obtained, the 32-year-old man was charged with paragraphs 6, 8 and 13 of Article 155, Part 2, Article 155, Part 2, Paragraph 3 of the RA Criminal Code. With Paragraphs 5, 6 and 13 (2 episodes), with point 2 of part 3 of article 252 and part 4 of article 198, and the 41-year-old relative was charged with article 155, Paragraphs 8, 13 of Part 2 and Paragraph 2 of part 3 of article 252. A petition was filed with the court for their detention as a preventive measure, which was granted.
