The Council of the European Union (EU) has decided to extend until 12 November, 2023 the partial sanctions imposed on Turkey 2 years ago.
Ermenihaber.am writes.
They were imposed by the EU in November 2020 for Turkey’s unauthorized oil exploration by drilling vessels in the Eastern Mediterranean. The decision was published on the official website of the EU Council, as well as on the official Twitter page.
The sanctions apply to individuals and organizations involved in or responsible for the exploration of hydrocarbon resources in the Eastern Mediterranean. The sanctions provide for banning the mentioned persons from entering the EU countries, as well as freezing their bank assets in those countries.
