Bail and the ban on absence were chosen as a preventive measure against the ex-rector of YSMU Mikael Narimanyan. The Investigative Committee reported.
According to the body conducting the proceedings, the case relates to embezzlement and other episodes of waste by the officials of the “Yerevan Mkhitar Heratsi State Medical University” Foundation, as well as a number of episodes of abuse of authority by employees of commercial or other organizations.
Mikael Narimanyan was arrested on 5 November.
It should be noted that according to information circulating in the press, Narimanyan’s arrest is connected with the possible criminal prosecution being prepared against RPA Vice President Armen Ashotyan, who has the status of a witness in the proceedings.
