On 28 September, as a result of the Azerbaijani provocation, the soldiers who died during the defense of the Motherland are: Lieutenant Colonel Nahapet Nver Margaryan, Sergeant Hovhannes Paylaki Sukiasyan and private Edward Hayk Hovhannisyan. The Ministry of Defense reported.

“The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia shares the heavy sorrow of the loss and expresses support to the family members, relatives and fellow soldiers of the fallen servicemen,” the message states.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense reported that on 28 September, starting at 18:00, the units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, using mortars and large-caliber firearms, opened fire at the combat positions located in the eastern direction of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
