By the decree of President Vahagn Khachaturyan on 24 August, Ruben Sadoyan was recalled from the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Georgia.

By another presidential decree, Ashot Smbatyan was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Georgia (residence: Tbilisi).
