On 28 July, the examination of the petition submitted by the Ethics and Disciplinary Commission of the General Assembly of Judges on the issue of subjecting the judge of the Criminal Court of Appeal Armen Danielyan to disciplinary liability continued in the Supreme Judicial Council.
According to the justifications of the petition presented by the Commission, the judge committed violations of the norms of Criminal Procedure and the Judicial Codes, as a result of which the judge deviated without any reasoning from the case law formed by the Court of Cassation, which in turn led to the unjustified deprivation of liberty.
After hearing the parties, the Council declared the case closed and left to the deliberation room to make a decision, which will be announced on 4 August at 14:55.
