Today, on the initiative of the judges examining the cases of judicial control over the pre-trial criminal proceedings and the motions on carrying out operative-investigative measures, a meeting-discussion took place with the Acting Chairman of the SJC Gagik Jhangiryan at their residence.

During the discussion, the judges raised a number of issues related to their workload, the very small number of judges hearing such motions, the quality of the motions, and the judges’ activities.

The Acting Chairman of the SJC presented the legislative and organizational initiatives of the Supreme Judicial Council, which are aimed at solving the issues raised by judges.

Both sides stressed the need for such meetings to be continuous.
