Do not dare! Arman Tatoyan’s statement

Former Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan wrote on his Facebook page: “To the head of the State Protection Service and his subordinates:

Do not dare to show such open disrespect to the citizens next time!

This is a gross violation of the law and you have no right to do it. This is all.

Do not dare to use violence against professional journalists or hinder their work with such contemptuous behavior the next time!

Any form of violence should simply be ruled out by the police or any public servant serving in a public place. It is strictly forbidden by law.

And in general, any act that violates the law, including any kind of disrespectful treatment or insult to a citizen, should be ruled out.

Under no circumstances should the police engage in “boyish” conversations or “fights” with the organizers or participants of rallies. It must act within the framework of legal status exclusively.

I ask the citizens if you see that other people are trying to provoke violence or in case of violence that is already taking place, they should immediately inform the Police in order to prevent it through legal procedure or to isolate those people. This is the function of the state, in particular, the problem of the Police.

Dear compatriots, I ask you to exclude insults, words insulting dignity in relations with the police. “It makes the atmosphere tenser,” he said.
