Today, on 29 April, the Constitutional Court, on the basis of the application of at least one-fifth of the total number of deputies of the RA National Assembly, in the case “On Determining the Issue of Compliance with the Constitution” of the RA National Assembly AJO-01-A of 2 August, 2021, decided that the decision of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia of 2 August, 2021 AJO-01-A corresponds to the Constitution.
It should be noted that according to the decision, Alen Simonyan was elected Speaker of the National Assembly.
The CC informs that “According to Part 2 of Article 170 of the Constitution, this decision is final and enters into force upon publication. The decision will be published on the website of the Constitutional Court within three days.”
