“As it has already been published, today, a 2-year-old girl fell into the Debed River in the city of Alaverdi. Zhirayr Poghosyan, 32 years-old resident of the Piruzyan district of Alaverdi, noticed the child about 1.5 -2 km away from the place where the child fell and pulled her out of the river.
A little while ago, I visited the child’s family in Sanahin Sarahart district.
Before that I visited Alaverdi MC, from where the child was transferred to Vanadzor MC. According to the doctors, the child’s life is not in danger. The child has regained consciousness, the work of the heart, saturation is normal. At the moment the doctors are continuing the examination; one ambulance brigade has arrived from Yerevan to Vanadzor.
I would like to add that immediately after the alarm, about 30 fire-rescuers, and then operatively joined by the RA Police Patrol Service, 2 detachments of the 2nd Battalion of the Lori Region Patrol Service Battalion, with 6 patrols, together with citizens, carried out search and rescue operations about 2 km along the river,” he wrote.
As we reported earlier, 25 April, at 5:36 pm, the Lori Regional Crisis Management Center received an alarm that a child had fallen into the Debed River. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
One fire brigade from the fire-rescue detachment of the regional rescue department of the Emergency Situations Ministry and one fire brigade from the Odzun base left for the scene.
Search and rescue operations are being carried out on the spot, in which 30 rescuers are participating.
