On 21 March, RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan had a telephone conversation with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

Issues related to the Armenian-Russian cooperation, mutual visits at high and highest levels, events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Russia were discussed.
Ararat Mirzoyan and Sergey Lavrov touched upon the process of implementing the agreements reached by the tripartite agreements of 9 November, 2020, 11 January and 26 November, 2021.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia presented the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and in Nagorno-Karabakh, which has developed as a result of provocations and violations of the ceasefire regime by Azerbaijan.
Ararat Mirzoyan also presented to his colleague the position of the Armenian side regarding the start of negotiations on a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan. In this context, the role of the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group was especially noted.
During the telephone conversation, the process of normalization of the Armenian-Turkish relations was also touched upon.
An exchange of views took place on issues of regional and international security.
