The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that there are closed, difficult-to-pass roads in the territory of the Republic of Armenia.
The roads leading from “Amberd” High Mountain meteorological station to Amberd fortress and Lake Kari in Aragatsotn Marz are closed, Berd-Chambarak, Vardenyats mountain pass, Jermuk-Gndevaz roads of Vayots Dzor Marz are closed.
The roads from Saravan – “Zanger” of Vayots Dzor Marz, from Dilijan bends of Tavush Marz to Bagratashen are closed only for trucks with trailers, for other types of vehicles are difficult to pass.
All the roads of Syunik Marz, Vanadzor-Dilijan, Ashotsk-Amasia of Shirak Marz, Aragats, Alagyaz-Artik,of Aragatsotn Marz, Lanjar-Lusashogh of Ararat Marz are difficult to pass.
Goris-Tatev and Kapan- Tatev and roads of Syunik Marz are passable for trucks with trailers only in case of using tire chains.
The roads of Aparan, Aragats and Talin regions of Aragatsotn Marz are icy in places.
There is a snowstorm in Gegharkunik Marz, Sisian-Zanger highway in Syunik region, Aragats-Aparan in Aragatsotn Marz, Ashotsk, Artik-Amasia regions of Shirak Marz, and a snowstorm in the mountainous areas of Vayots Dzor Marz.
It is snowing in Syunik, Lori and Aragatsotn Marzes, Abovyan, Yeghvard, of Kotayk Marz, Dilijan, Tavush Marz, Maralik of Shirak Marz.

According to the information received from the Emergency Situations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the North Ossetia Crisis Management Center of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is closed. There are about 400 trucks on the Russian side.
Drivers are advised to drive exclusively with winter tires.
