Over the past week, Azerbaijan has been carrying out various provocations in the direction of Artsakh. They are manifested in ceasefire violations, as far as I understand, not only from firearms, but also increasing the amount of misinformation, and so on.
By raising the level of relations with Azerbaijan, Russia will try to keep Azerbaijan in the field of maximum predictability, but the breath of Turkey behind Azerbaijan increases the possibility of border incidents and, in general, ceasefire violations.
The deputy of “With Honor” Faction of the National Assembly Tigran Abrahamyan reported.
“Turkey has a clear anti-Russian position on the situation around Ukraine. In response to the Russian operation, small-scale provocations in the direction of Artsakh and Armenia are not excluded.
The problem here is not even the desire of Azerbaijan; there is a danger that on the initiative of Turkey an attempt will be made to introduce some destabilization in our region, forcing Russia to provide additional efforts and resources in the South Caucasus.
By the way, this danger exists in the regions where Russia is actively fighting for influence with Turkey or other actors.
“So, there is a need to raise vigilance in Armenia and in Artsakh, this first of all refers especially to the structures ensuring internal and external security,” the MP says.
