According to Avanesyan, it is too early to say that the relatively light “omicron” strain may be the last wave of coronavirus, “But we can say that the transition from the epidemic stage to the endemic disease stage seems to be already noticeable. This means that COVID, as such, unfortunately, will remain, it will become a part of our way of life, with certain seasonal activations, but to say clearly that the epidemic is coming to end, it is still early I think.”
