On 14 February, at 4:10 pm, the Kapan Police Department received a report that on February 11, at around 11:00 am, the couple, 71-year-old Aramayis and 64-year-old Elmira Grigoryan, had left home and had not returned.
As a result of operative-investigative measures taken, on 15 February, at 6:20 pm, the criminal investigators of Kapan found the self-immolated corpses of the couple in the non-functioning building of “Karmrakar” house of culture in Karmrakar settlement.
External examination did not reveal any signs of violence on the bodies.
Forensic examinations have been ordered.
The circumstances are being clarified.
A preliminary investigation is underway.
