During the special sitting of the Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs of the National Assembly, the issue of nominating Atom Janjughazyan for the vacant position of the Chairman of the Audit Chamber is discussed.
The only independent deputy of the NA Ishkhan Zakaryan announced that the candidate will become a good chairman of the structure, he will vote for his candidacy, but there is a problem.
“The problem is connected with the current law. Mr. Janjughazyan, you will become the chairman of the chamber, I am sure, but you get a very bad legacy. The current law has many shortcomings. It forces the structure to approach many questions formally. The first task should be to strengthen the law, to insist on throwing the formal things away, so that the Audit Chamber can work more effectively,” Zakaryan said.
