Advocate Yerem Sargsyan made a statement, which reads:
“Report on committing a crime by Davit Arghamanyan:
Considering the latest legal practice established by the RA Prosecutor’s Office and the Supreme Judicial Council, as well as Judge Davit Arghamanyan a few days ago, and clearly justifying that Judge David Arghamanyan apparently illegally detained Judge Boris Bakhshiyan for two months, shortly before, prior to appealing the detention decision, I submitted a report on the crime to the RA Prosecutor General, asking him to apply to the Supreme Judicial Council of the Republic of Armenia with a motion to initiate criminal prosecution against Judge Davit Arghamanyan and consent to deprive him of liberty, to initiate a criminal case against him under Article 348, Part 3 of the RA Criminal Code, subjecting him to criminal liability.
I hope that the Prosecutor’s Office and the SJC will unconditionally follow the legal practice they have formed in the case of Davit Arghamanyan and will not worry about the unpredictable testimonies given by Davit Arghamanyan during that criminal case.”
